In Greek mythology Pearls were created when Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love and Beauty, rose from the foam of the sea and cried tears of joy which fell as Pearls. Since that time Pearls have been associated with love and beauty.
Pearls are the only truly organic gem, produced by a living creature. They are created by nature but induced by man, being lovingly cultured by pearl farmers across Japan, China and the nations of the South Pacific.
