A gift of the God of the sea according to ancient Maori belief, Paua is the most colourful species from the abalone family and is often referred to as the sea opal due to its striking blues, greens and fiery flashes of incandescent patterns. Despite being the most sought after among the varieties of Abalone, the shells are sustainably sourced from the seas of New Zealand.
